info 2ch & twitter
Not sure how many people pay attention to the animators in the Anime series, besides the directors.
Ootsuka Ken, one of the animator that had been working on numerous of Digimon series, on the key animation for the ep, make a bank(I believe it's the references, like making characterm bg assets for the animation), some openings, the Evolution sequence, as well as the 3rd and 5th Digimon movie: "Hurricane Touch Down/The Golden Digi-Mental" and "Boukensha tachi no Tatakai/The Adventurer's Battle"

On his twitter he wrote:"Oh btw, I'm going to be participated in the(making of) last ep of Digimon. I'm very happy that they have me participated in this last ep. "
Judging from the animations that we seems so far that's by him, I'm very looking forward for the animation on ep 79.
At the same time, I'm sad T_T
Oh, He is participated? I hope something suprised if episode 79...
ReplyDeleteSo.. This confirms the March 25th end?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, glad to have him back, after all these years.
he has been working on Xros Wars too :O
DeleteOh-hoh, my. Thanks for updating me. =0_o=
DeleteHe did the opening (not sure if he did "never give up", but he did New World :3) and the key animation :3
DeleteBut according to wikipedia , i dont know if he has participated in xros hunter, gatta re-watch to find out
That means another 3-year gap until the next Digimon series?
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOO!!!
T_T
BTW, glad to see this guy is back though =D
Wait... where does it say that he's doing 79? He just said "the last episode"...
ReplyDeleteWell, he doesn't explicitly mention episode 79 right?
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting and hoping V-Jump's confirmation.
Well, whatever's indeed in store for this Season.. Best we're prepared to accept it.
DeleteBased upon what Rainmon has post here, it's true that his tweet doesn't make any direct reference to episode 79. There is every possibility that the 'last episode of Digimon' could refer to the (still hypothetical) fourth season.
DeleteOn that note, does anyone have any idea of the average production time for an episode of Digimon?
Assuming he hasn't started work yet that information might give us a better idea of the time frames involved.
Probably a week in advance?
DeleteOnly a week? Hmm… that seems kind of quick to me. Anyway, in case there was any confusion; I was just wondering how long it takes to make an episode of Digimon, from start to finish.
DeleteYou know, taking an idea from rough concept art to finally broadcasting thirty minutes of footage on TV. Not that this is an urgent question that needs answering. I was just curious about the practical aspects of making a Digimon anime.
It couldn't be a week in advance, you have to remember that there's a lot of planning involved in the episode. You have to get the written plot up, the storyboards done, then the animation done and then get the OK from the tv company (Asasi in this case) so that it could air (and I'm pretty certain I'm missing a couple steps). That can take months and in some cases, I've heard it can take up to 6 months to complete an episode, hence why they're made together rather then separately.
DeleteHey isn't 6 months is a bit too much? considering the fact that most shows lasts 12 months (around 48-55 episodes)? That means they produce around 20 episodes simultaneously?
DeleteSeems a bit unrealistic to me.
Let me rephrase that, in my understanding, the episodes are made by different animation/writing teams around the same time, so that the work doesn't bog them down. So you could have multiple episodes being worked on at the same time.
DeletePlus, I said it could take up to that long, either way, it still would take longer then 1 week (or even a month) to finish an episode when you consider all of the work put into it.
"Oh btw, I'm going to be participated in the(making of) last ep of Digimon"
ReplyDeleteDid I read that right?
Last.
Ep.
Of.
Digimon?!
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!
the Hurricane Touch Down/The Golden Digi-Mental was the worse movie ever
ReplyDeleteThe last episode isn't episode 79. It takes months to create a single episode (Hence different animators and teams have to all work together on specific episodes.) He is clearly talking about another season with animation time-frames (Trust me, if they only begun working on it now, it would suck hard.) I don't think this is going to be the last episode either. If it is it is just like Season 4's ending was the last episode as well as Season 5's ending. It may take a while for them to conceptualize a new season but the merchandise sales were terrific for Xros Wars and the are going to regroup, refine their idea, and come up with a new concept.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good point, actually. It's, what, only about a month until episode 79 airs and he's only just revealed that he's going to be working on it in the future - that does give us a little leeway and suggest that it's something that could be a while off. Also, I'm always up for decent animation on XW, as quite often it's pretty lazy, although that's probably just due to time/budget constraints, but still.
ReplyDeleteSo yeah, this could go either way.
I hope "last" doesn't mean "absolute last." You never know with Digimon. But if it does, oh well. Even Pokemon will end eventually. Xros Wars killed the franchise for me anyway. I'll still have my memories of the first four seasons. (Yeah, I gave up on Savers, too.)
ReplyDeleteWhy did you give up on Savers(probably the best season)?
DeleteEven in the very short amount of time Digimon Adventure 02 was behind the airing it were at least 6 to 8 weeks the animation was finished before the airing.
ReplyDeleteYou have to think that after the animation is done it will be edited, mixed and the sound needs to be recorded
Actually, from what I heard, in animation they record the sounds before animating. This gives more freedom for the voice actors to act, rather than just having to sinchronize their voices with the animation.
DeleteBut synchronizing your voice isn't that much of a big deal.
DeleteThink the many local dubs across the globe.
Synchronizing your voice is actually amusing! haha
DeleteJapan sticks still to do it the classy way (animation first then sound). Some movie studios do it the other way around. But the only studios in Japan I know to do it are MADHOUSE for movies and Satelight when they have another experiment episode
DeleteI still doubt episode 79 is the last episode for Xros Wars. Let's see....
ReplyDeleteThere is a possibility, even if very unlikely, that he was a part of the last episode team a while ago, but he announced this just now.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope seeing the fourth season too!
Stand Up For Your Dreams People.
ReplyDeleteMore from 2ch recently:
ReplyDelete77話 東京壊滅!?五人のデジモンハンター(3/11)
78話 みんなを守れ!吠えろガムドラモン!(3/18)
79話 滾る力!これがデジモンハンターだ!(3/25)END
Now I am worried with the 3/25 END. Then again, tany info from 2ch is 50-50 authentic.
THIS SUCKS! I'm seriously starting to think that this season will be a catstrophy! I really hope this is false, dude.
DeleteWell, anything from 2ch can either be a miss or hit info. Best we rely more on V-Jump and be prepared to accept whatever fate will come into this Season. Be it truly the end or another season.
DeleteI'm not very good at translating, but i'll try...
Delete77 - Tokyo Kaimetsu!? Gonin no Digimon Hunter (Tokyo Devasted!? The Five Digimon Hunters)
78 - Minna wo Mamore! Hoero Gumdramon! (Protect Everyone! Roar Gumdramon!)
79 - Tagiru Chikara! Kore ga Digimon Hunter da! (Boiling Power! This Is Digimon Hunter!)
It's a more okay translation than I did with mere copy and paste on an online translator and personal fix.
DeleteLuckily that says nothing about it being the end. Trust me. The final episode of the 7th series will be in October. It is just the end of the Arc. It will end with Tagiru reaching Superior Mode... (It probably triggers Taichi and the others into action if ShoutmonX7 SM was the one to damage the fabric between the world.) Trust me, I guarantee we have nothing to worry about, it isn't ending at 79, or if so, it will immediately segway into another series following the same characters.
DeleteThank you, Reiji.
Delete@Anonymous 5:41 PM
Yeah, I also share the same sentiments as you.
You're welcome.
DeleteIf those titles are indeed true i hope they'll execute the plot-heavy episode in a nice way and not too rushed.
DeleteSomehow episode 78 telling me it'll be Arresterdramon Superior Mode debut, but IMO i don't want something like ArresterdramonSM to wipe the 5 leaders, but i'll be ok if he'll only wipe their child or adult level form.
The title is not confirm, and we dont know where the source is form, so im not posting it on the blog
DeleteI'm going to wait for Vjump.
@Rainmon... I find from http://toro.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/anime/1327788776/954 via Google Search because if confirm or not?
DeleteIt's not confirm by any magazine so far...that's the thing
Deleteagain, they might be the real titles, from time to time, you get random leak infos.
But I don't know where the titles are from,
and I don't usually post them unless it's confirm by sources.(which usually are the magazines)
Thank for inform :)
DeleteBTW: Waiting for V-Jump
So, the 5 previous leaders are treated as "Hunters"?
ReplyDelete@Wilson
DeleteYeah.
New Digimons like Ekakimon and Ganemon have appeared.
ReplyDeleteNew Digimons like Bakomon appearing soon. ( I'm sorry, I thought it's Bokomon at first)
Left Jokermon,Footmon and Soundbirdramon.
Hmmmmmmmmm, based on the titles Reiji has provided( be it accurate or not) and Mr/Ms Anonymous has translated, it seems the google boys+ Masaru will be causing chaos, and the watchmaker old man isn't a good guy after all, just like some said before they don't trust him.
Shoutmon said he's not only concerned with digimons who absorb power from data, (Eg. Dagomon tries to absorb the digiegg), the watchmaker old man is also one of their concerns.
Hopefully not in intention, but likely the fight either against or with them might cause damage and mayhem. We can't be sure, but though I see them lending a helping hand to Tagiru and Taiki in whoever or whatever enemy they might go up against.
DeleteIt's also possible the digital creatures from the intro cause the destruction and the former leaders are wheeled in to take them down. ...Wait, was it ever confirmed that Hunters took place in Tokyo?
DeleteWell, Koto is in Tokyo, and they live in Koto, and OmegaShoutmon VS. Tactimon is in Tokyo, so yes, it's confirmed that it's in Tokyo.
DeleteActually, as long as I know, every Digimon series has Tokyo as the main characters' town.
Last Episode!? O__O Nooo!! I can't believe it! but I still doubted that it will be last, maybe the last arc of the 3th arc, I really hope so! I agree with Jason and Reiji-san >w<
ReplyDeleteAnyway thanks Rainie for the information :D Always helpful~
Well, hopefully it doesn't indeed be the last episode, and V-Jump to differ on it. :) And, you're welcome. :)
DeleteOh it's Kamen Rider Decade all over again? With Old Clock Shop Man taking Narutaki's role and the previous leaders acting nothing like they did in their original series and being total jerks like Kazuma Kenzaki and Wataru Kurenai were in Decade?
ReplyDelete"Because" this season is to do with mergers, I think maybe the villain "main" this season is a physical fusion of villains "main" preceding.
ReplyDeleteI was checking the "opening" of "Digimon Xros Wars: Toki wo Kakeru Shounen Hunter-Tachi" trying to find "clues" be with supposed spoilers.
I think in one part of this "openness", have an eye on the floor of DigiQuartz. Anyone out there seen Clockmon without being in the "Human World"? I think maybe Clockmon that is the own DigiQuartz.
I think me also realized that in a part of this "opening" buildings had physically devastated "at least" partly.
Does dimensions will be risky to collide fisicament and/or have collided physically?
ass: Victor H. F. Moreira
I read a theory ages ago that DigiQuartz was actually the future, or a future in which the Real and Digital Worlds have combined in a catastrophe - which would explain why the kids have to "Time Shift" to enter it, and why the series is called "The Boy Hunters Who Jump Through Time." Plus Clockmon. Time's gotta be involved somehow.
Deletei hope that the ''five'' hunters are the digimon leaders. oh god i pray to god it is, please please PLEASE!!! i dont wanna wait until october :C
ReplyDeleteIt's horrifyingly obvious that it's the past Goggleheads.
DeleteThe question is will Toei screw up and make them villains like the non-AR previous Riders in Decade?
DeleteOr they'll give them a decent treatment like the previous Rangers in Gokaiger?
I think that the idea of them being villains is kinda cool. There has been mentioned that tai would come back as a mighty and powerful foe.
DeleteRainie?
ReplyDeleteyes?
DeleteEpi 77 - 11.03.2012

Tagiru chikara! kore ga Dejimon Hantaa da!
Brodelnde Kraft! Das ist der Digimon Hunter!
from digimon generation
again... this is not confirm yet... someone else already posted this title in the previous comments
DeleteRainmon: I agree with you. I'm not sure until V-jump will reveal the truth.
ReplyDeleteGUYS, there's one more clue this season won't end at episode 25/79! Look at the opening. There is a bird Digimon(looks very much like Ornismon) and someone riding it(looks like Taiki)! This must be for a reason and therefore I'd say this season is nowhere near the end!
ReplyDeleteOpenings don't always equate to happening in an anime. They're more or less eye-candy.
DeleteThere were Unnamed Tamers with Ogremon, Knightmon and DeathMeramon as partners on Digimon Tamers' opening.
DeleteYes but this is exactly in the middle of the screen, it's not by side or blurred or in the shadows, it's RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR NOSE!
DeleteIsn't that a reference to an old Digimon logo or something?
DeleteThe leaders are appearing in ep. 78. According to an information from a friend, VJump states that thtere will be a movie coming up in June 2012 and the leaders are going to appear on it. Guess the end of the anime series will be a cliffhanger waiting to be resolved in the movie.

wasn't the movie a lie?
