English-Voiced Dub confirmed for Digimon Adventure tri: Reunion

After a poster with a westernized tri movie logo was briefly seen Las Vegas' 2016 Licensing Expo, various news outlets are now reporting ELEVEN ARTS is working with Toei Animation to create an English dubbed version of Digimon Adventure tri.

"Digimon Adventure tri. Chapter 1: REUNION" will receive a special one-day theatrical feature by Fathom Events at select locations in the United States on Thursday September 15th, 2016. Tickets go on sale Friday July 29th on Fathom Events' website.
Further locations and dates within the US will be confirmed for October 2016.
International theatrical showings and specifications on disk release(s) have not yet been confirmed.

  1. So Toei is doing the same thing as the DBZ movies? I'm not sure if the fanbase is big enough to make this financially viable but I guess we'll see. There doesn't seem to be any listings for theaters outside the US however so that means those fans will have to wait for an eventual BluRay release...i.e me. :(
